Burma Urad Price Continues Up move in Chennai

MUMBAI (Commoditiescontrol) – Burma Urad extended rise Rs 25-50/100Kg at Chennai on Wednesday due to better mill buying for immediate crushing requirement against limited ready stock.

Similarly, in private trade at Delhi, Burma Urad FAQ/SQ varieties new also traded higher by Rs 50 at Rs 6,350/100Kg and Rs 7,000, respectively.

Arrivals of New Urad seen at Ahmednagar and Dudhani markets.

However, thin offtake was witnessed in processed Urad.

Trading activity was reported thin today,as major markets closed, on account of Krishna Janmashtami.

Meanwhile, Government reduced the deadline for Urad Import Annual Quota Of 4 lakh MT by 6 months to 31st August, 2020.

The allocated total quantity is not expected to arrive till 31st August, 2020 against the annual quota license. Around one lakh or below quantity only expected to arrived.

Millers who received import quota licenses are surrendering their licence to DGFT.

Supreme Court has completed hearing On Pulses Import Restriction. As per sources, Judgement is reserved. Court has not fixed the date for judgement. Parties had filed brief written submission on 27th July, not exceeding five pages.

Kharif sowing is higher and new crops will likely arrive from September end in domestic markets.
