Moong Drops At Pipariya Amid Thin Mills Buying, Regular Arrivals

Mumbai (Commodities control) – Moong prices traded weak as per quality on Tuesday, in Pipariya market of Madhya Pradesh on regular arrivals and thin local and outstation mills buying activity at higher rates.

On other hand, pulse moved higher at Indore, Kekri, Jalgaon and Ahmednagar market on local mills buying support and good quality arrivals.

Meanwhile, demand and sale counters in processed Moong reported thin participation.

Trade activity is lukewarm as some markets are shut due to lockdown and labour shortage.

Millers were interested in purchasing good quality Moong for crushing. However, average quality arrivals in various origin because of recent rain and higher arrivals had dampened sentiments.

kharif sowing reported higher and new crop likely from mid of August in Karnataka.

Stockiests are sidelined at current prices, despite lower stocks with government agencies and private traders/millers.

Locust attack hit the summer moong crop in the several districts of Rajasthan, MP and UP.
