M.P Cotton Continues Steady Trade Amid Light Mill Purchases

Mumbai (commodities control) - M.P. cotton prices moved higher by Rs 100 on scattered buying by local mills. Although most of the other varieties were reported steady.

State reported increased arrivals of 500 bales.kapas was quoted at Rs 4400-4600 and cottonseed was priced at Rs 2100-2300 a Quintal. Cottonseed cake traded in the range of Rs 2000-2200 per Quintal. 29 mm cotton was quoted at Rs 33,100-33,300 and 28-28.5MM was priced at Rs 29,000-29,500/candy. DCH 34-35 MM was quoted at Rs 53,000-54,000/candy. Traders reveal that demand from yarn mills has improved. However cotton auction at rates from CCI continues to pressure price gains. Some local mills are reportedly striking deals with global State's Bhaskar Industries of the has received some denim orders recently.
