Coriander Prices Declines Amid Weak Demand

Mumbai (commodities control) - Coriander prices dipped Rs 100-400 per quintal amid weak demand from stockists in spot markets. Meanwhile future prices ended Rs 92 lower for July contract at Rs 6122/quintal.

Ramganj mandi reported arrivals of 6000 bags of coriander. Coriander prices dropped Rs 75-100. Badami was quoted at Rs 4700-5400 and Eagle variety was priced at Rs 5300-5750 per quintal. Kota mandi of Rajasthan reported arrrivals of 3000 bags. Badami dropped Rs 200 to be quoted at Rs 5200-5400 per quintal, While Eagle variety in Kota was quoted at Rs 5300-5400. Baran mandi reported arrivals of 1200 bags, while prices dropped Rs 100- 200. Traders revealed that the arrivals werr of substandard quality, while demand from bugger centres like Mumbai and Delhi has been weak resulting in profit booking at higher levels.
