Red Chilli Prices Loses Heat As Demand Dries Out

Mumbai (commodities control) - Hit by rising Corona virus cases red chilli prices were quoted weak in Warangal mandi of Telangana.

The Mandi reported arrivals of 12,000 bales of red chillies. 334,341 and Tomato varieties were down Rs 2-5/kg. Guntur mandi of Andhra Pradesh has been closed since 26th June. 334 variety in Warangal was quoted at Rs 100-105, 341 was priced at Rs100-133 and Tomato traded around Rs120-150 per kg. Traders reveal that demand is dull. local and/or outstation demand is no where to be seen.Guntur mandi was shut due to a case of coronavirus detected. It is to be noted that Coronavirus cases in the district hace upped to 1200,while over 70 people have lost their lives.
