Jeera Prices Moved Higher On Strong Demand

Mumbai (Commodities Control) - Jeera prices moved northwards by Rs 15-35/20Kgs amid improved demand.

Futures prices shot up tracking strength in spot jeera. NCDEX June contract of Jeera settled Rs 230 higher at Rs 13,780/Quintal.

Unjha mandi reported arrivals of 6000 bags. Rough jeera was quoted at Rs 1995-2305 and NCDEX variety was priced at Rs 2380-2585/20Kgs.

While in Rajkot mandi jeera was quoted Rs 20 higher amid arrivals of 2500 bags.

With ‘Unlock-1’ amid extension of lockdown has helped raise jeera demand. Exports were reported to be active in the market as well.
