Mumbai (Commoditiescontrol) – Domestic Tur traded mixed, as per quality, on Friday in major markets. Lesser participation by the millers is being witnessed due to limited crushing requirements.

Meanwhile, ongoing domestic arrivals and availability of sufficient stock at retail/wholesale counters had pressurised sentiments.

On other hand, Tur Lemon variety of Burma-origin priced unchanged at Rs 4,900/100Kg and Rs 5,200-5,250, respectively in Mumbai and Delhi due to negligible buying from mills in imported Tur is the major reason. Millers prefer new domestic variety or old raw Tur with Nafed due to better quality and lower transportation costs over raw tur from nearby mandi.

As on May 27, 2020, NAFED Procured Over 505254.31 MT (PSS)/ 125337.98 MT (PSF) Tur In Kharif-2019 Season at Minimum Support Price of Rs 5,800.
