Lower Rajasthan: Cotton Prices Collapse Rs 200

Mumbai (Commodities Control) – Cotton in Lower Rajasthan gave up Rs 200 tracking weak cues from North Indian mandis.

Kapas was quoted at Rs 5000-5450 and cottonseed was priced at Rs 2700-2800/Quintal. Cottonseed cake traded in the range of Rs 2600-2700/Quintal.

28-29.5 mm cotton in Marwad was priced at Rs 32,000-33,000 and 29-29.5 mm in Alwar was priced at Rs 33,000 and 33,500/candy. In Pilani, 29.5 mm traded in the range of Rs 3540-3550/Maund.

Millers are not ready to make purchases at prevailing rates, while sellers won’t drop rates at the moment.
