Cotton Firms Up Rs 100 In Lower Rajasthan

Mumbai (Commodities Control) – Cotton prices in Lower Rajasthan shot up by Rs 100 in Lower Rajasthan mandis, taking firm cues from North Indian cotton markets and overseas cotton.

The region reported arrivals of 500 bales, while kapas was quoted at Rs 5000-5450, cottonseed are priced at Rs 2700-2800/Quintal. Cottonseed cake traded in the range of Rs 2600-2700/Quintal.

28-29.5 mm cotton was quoted at Rs 31,600-32,800 and Alwar cotton 29-29.5 mm was priced at Rs 32,100-33,100/candy.29.5 mm in Pilani traded at Rs 3520-3530/Maund.

Traders attribute the strength in cotton prices to lower arrivals in the region as well.
