Cotton Prices Head Higher In North India

Mumbai (Commodities Control) – Cotton prices firmed up amid dip in arrivals reported in North Indian cotton mandis. The fibre collapsed Rs 10/Maund amid arrivals of 7500 bales in Punjab, Haryana and Upper Rajasthan.

Kapas was quoted in the region at Rs 5100-5450 and cottonseed Rs 2750-2800/Quintal and cottonseed cake traded at Rs 2375-2450/Quintal.

28+mm in Punjab was quoted at Rs 3550-3590 and 28mm in Haryana was priced at Rs 3540-3550/maund, while in Rajasthan it traded in the range of Rs 3370-3550/Maund.

In Ravatsar and Hanumangarh, 28+mm was quoted at Rs 3550/Maund. While 28mm in Vijaynagar and Shri Ganganagar was priced at Rs 3510 and Rs 3480, respectively.

27.5-28mm cotton in Peelibanga was quoted at Rs 3500 and 27.5 mm in Anupgarh was priced at Rs 3470/Maund.
