MUMBAI (Commoditiescontrol) – Canada Masoor prices firmed up at Naya bazaar pulses market of Delhi, on Tuesday, due to fresh local buying enquiry. While, Urad prices slipped due to lack of trade activity.

The demand and sale counters in processed pulses reported lukewarm participation amid cash crunch.

Canada-origin Masoor moved higher by Rs 25/100Kg amid fresh mills buying enquiry at lower rates. While, Madhya Pradesh-origin Masoor remained unchanged.

Burma Urad FAQ/SQ variety widened losses by Rs 50-100/100Kg due to sluggish local buying, dull offtake in processed Urad, fresh supply from overseas at Chennai and weak cues from Chennai/Mumbai markets. Buyers have been cautious in ready trade, tracking weak prices in forward deals, in Chennai. While, ready stock of Urad SQ variety was reported less.

Chana for March delivery on National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange (NCDEX), was trading firm by 0.7percent, or Rs 28 up, at Rs 3,964/100kg. Earlier in the day, the contract hovered in the range of Rs 3,946 and 3,988.
