Spot Pepper Edges Lower As Demand Softens On Higher Prices

MUMBAI (Commoditiescontrol) - Spot pepper prices edged lower by Re 1 per kg at the major Kochi market in Kerala on Wednesday due to the decrease in demand after the one-sided rise in the price over the last few trading sessions.

The price of garbled was at Rs 339/kg, while ungarbled ruled at Rs 319/kg.

According to traders, demand for black pepper has come down at higher prices. The prices of pepper have moved higher by about 3 percent in the last one week.
