MUMBAI (Commodities control) – Saturday’s trading session ends, in Mumbai, with Urad prices regaining some strength after a weak opening. While other pulses settled flat at their respective opening session prices, Tur upped Rs 25 to trade.

Mumbai FAQ New urad upped Rs 50 to trade at Rs 6700-6725/100 Kgs, while FAQ Old urad shot up Rs 25 to close at Rs 6550.

While imported lentil opened Rs 25 lower, but managed to settle without any further correction.

Canada Green Matar traded flat at Rs 10,400-10,500 in Mumbai. The pea is flat on second consecutive session. While Canada green pea and Ukraine pea managed to settle flat at Rs 5550 and Rs 5600, respectively, on Saturday, in Mumbai.

A general sentiment of weak millers’ demand weighed on most pulses through the week. Despite the reports of crop damage and shortage of ready imported stock, pulses could barely rise and stuck to their respective price range from beginning of the week.
