NEW DELHI (Commoditiescontrol) - Spot mentha oil prices fell further at key markets of Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday due to the lacklustre demand and amid expectations of higher production this season.

Mentha oil prices in Chandausi, Sambhal and Rampur quoted at Rs 1,350/kg, Rs 1,370/kg and Rs 1,330/kg, respectively.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), mentha oil contract for delivery in January ended lower by Rs 16.60 or 1.32 percent at Rs 1,237 per kg.

As per market sources, prices may remain under pressure ahead due to sluggish buying by the consuming industries and amid expectations of higher acreage this season.
