NEW DELHI (Commoditiescontrol) - Spot mentha oil prices edged lower at key markets of Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday amid sluggish trade due to the Makar Sankranti and Lohri.

Mentha oil prices in Chandausi, Sambhal and Rampur quoted at Rs 1,395/kg, Rs 1,415/kg and Rs 1,375/kg, respectively.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), mentha oil contract for delivery in January ended lower by Rs 6 or 0.46 percent at Rs 1,284.50 per kg.

As per market sources, prices may remain slightly firm ahead as supply will tighten at the fag-end of the season.
