Spot Mentha Gains On Better Demand

NEW DELHI (Commoditiescontrol) - Spot mentha oil prices moved higher at key markets of Uttar Pradesh on Monday amid demand from the consuming industries against tight supply.

Mentha oil prices in Chandausi, Sambhal and Rampur quoted at Rs 1,400/kg, Rs 1,420/kg and Rs 1,380/kg, respectively.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), mentha oil contract for delivery in January ended higher by Rs 11.70 or 0.91 percent at Rs 1,291 per kg.

As per market sources, demand is now emerging for the spice oil from pharmaceutical industry, while supply is lower at the fag-end of the season.
