MUMBAI (Commoditiescontrol) – Canada along with Russia/Ukraine origin White Pea gained by Rs 50/100Kg in Kolkata on Saturday on fresh local buying, shortage of ready stock as Customs Department has refused to give clearance to White Pea containers at Kolkata Port.

Canada White Pea moved up by Rs 50 at Rs 5,050/100Kg.

Similarly, Russia/Ukraine White pea traded firm by Rs 50 at Rs 4,950.

Trade volume was thin because of slow consumption demand in matar dal/besan.

Meanwhile, crushing in Chana/Kabuli Chana has increased due to cheaper prices and easy availability as compared to White Pea.
