Spot Cardamom Prices Soften On Subdued Demand

MUMBAI (Commoditiescontrol) - Spot cardamom prices fell by Rs 40 per kg on Tuesday because of a decrease in demand at higher levels.

The average price of cardamom at the Kumali auction centre in Idukki, Kerala today was Rs 2,941.44/ kg. While the maximum price realised was Rs 3,220/kg.

Today there was arrival of 53,133.4 kg, of which 52899.4 kg were sold.

While cardamom December contract on MCX, before its expiry on Friday, last traded down 3 percent at Rs 3,051.10/kg.
