NEW DELHI (Commoditiescontrol) - Spot mentha oil prices remained steady at key markets of Uttar Pradesh on Thursday due to matching demand and supply.

Mentha oil prices in Chandausi, Sambhal and Rampur quoted at Rs 1,385/kg, Rs 1,405/kg and Rs 1,370/kg, respectively.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), mentha oil for delivery in December edged lower by Rs 1.20 or 0.09 percent at Rs 1,296.80 per kg.

Traders said that prices may remain slightly up in the short-term with improvement in demand from the consuming industries due to the start of the winter season. However, expectations of higher acreage in the forthcoming season may limit the upside.
