Urad, Masoor Gains In Delhi; Tur Weakens

MUMBAI (Commoditiescontrol) – Urad and Masoor moved higher at Naya bazaar pulses market of Delhi on Wednesday amid millers buying support at lower rates.

On other hand, Burma Lemon variety Tur prices widened losses by Rs 50/100Kg on slack local buying as demand and sale counters in processed pulses reported thin.

Burma origin Urad FAQ/SQ both old and new gained by Rs 50-100/100kg on local buying activity at lower rates, following firm cues from Mumbai/Chennai. However, activity in processed urad reported thin at higher rates.

Millers were interested to purchase imported Urad to meet their immediate requirement for crushing arrivals of new domestic Urad has not pick up the pace and quality arrive in the market is poor.

Prices likely to get further support due to fears of even more damage to crops as rainfall in Urad producing belt was reported and also arrivals will be more delay on weather concerns.

Canada and Madhya Pradesh Masoor traded higher by Rs 50/100Kg on millers demand as consumption of Masoor has increased due to its cheaper prices.

Moreover, Cabinet Approves Hike In MSP For Rabi Crops, as per sources. The agriculture ministry has recommended the highest increase of 7.26 percent in the MSP of Masoor, to Rs 4,800/ quintal from 4,475.

Chana for November delivery on National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange (NCDEX), was trading weak by 0.4 percent or Rs 18 at Rs 4,480/100kg. Earlier, in the day, the contract hovered in the range of 4,462 and 4,535.
