Cotton Prices Unmoved In South India

MUMBAI (Commoditiescontrol) Cotton prices remained stable at major markets in South India on Friday amid sluggish trade.

Only about 300 bales of cotton arrived in the mandis of Karnataka.

The price of 30-31MM cotton in Guntur was at Rs 42,800-43,500/candy. While the commodity traded at Rs 42,800-43,800/ candy in Warangal and at Rs 42,500-44,000/candy in Adilabad.

In the markets of Karnataka, 30MM cotton was trading at Rs 43,000-43,500 and 29MM at Rs 42,500-43,000/candy.

Around 8,350 bales of cotton arrived in the country today.
