Spot Mentha Edges Lower On Weak Demand

NEW DELHI (Commoditiescontrol) - Spot mentha oil prices edged lower at key markets of Uttar Pradesh on Thursday due to weak demand following continuous rains in Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh.

Moreover, expectations of higher acreage in the forthcoming sowing season are weighing on sentiments.

Mentha oil prices in Chandausi, Sambhal and Rampur quoted at Rs 1,380/kg, Rs 1,385 and Rs 1,360, respectively.

While, at the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), mentha oil for delivery in September edged higher by Rs 5.10 or 0.40 percent at Rs 1,274.60 per kg.
