NEW DELHI (Commoditiescontrol) - Spot mentha oil prices moved lower at key markets of Uttar Pradesh on Monday due to subdued demand.

The overall sentiments are not very supportive as seasonal demand for the spice oil during winter is yet to pick up, while farmers are bringing their produce in markets to meet their financial requirements during the ongoing festive season.

Moreover, expectations of higher acreage in the forthcoming sowing season are weighing on sentiments.

Mentha oil prices in Chandausi, Sambhal and Rampur quoted at Rs 1,385/kg, Rs 1,390 and Rs 1,365, respectively.

While, at the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), mentha oil for delivery in September fell by Rs 11.50 or 0.89 percent at Rs 1,280.10 per kg.
