Distribution of Rains in Cotton Growing Regions

MUMBAI(Commoditiescontrol) - As per IMD, during 01.06.19 to 09.0.19, India has received rainfall measuring 530.3 mm against normal of 533.7 mm which means deficient by 1%.

Distribution of rains in cotton growing regions is as follows:

Madhya Maharashtra received rainfall measuring 809.8 mm and fall in Large excess category.

Western M.P. 649.7 mm, Eastern Rajasthan
462.7 mm & North Interior Karnataka 384.4 mm and fall in Excess category.

Gujrat 660.1 mm, Vidarbha 594.2 mm, Telangana 461.2 mm, Costal Andhra Pradesh 321.1 mm, Marathwada 315.7 mm, Punjab 241.8 mm and Western Rajasthan 166.2 mm. These areas fall in Normal category.

Saurashtra & Kutch 234.7 mm, Haryana 176.1 mm and Rayalseema 131.8 mm. These regions fall in Deficient category.
