Spot Mentha Maintains Uptrend On Tight Supplies, Better Export Demand

NEW DELHI (Commoditiescontrol) - Spot mentha oil maintained its uptrend at key markets of Uttar Pradesh on Thursday amid tight supplies and better export demand for the newly-harvested crop.

Mentha oil prices in Chandausi, Sambhal and Rampur quoted at Rs 1,415/kg, Rs 1,420 and Rs 1,400, respectively.

While, at the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), mentha oil for delivery in July gained further by Rs 6.50 or 0.50 percent at Rs 1,299.20 per kg.

As per trade sources, prices are likely to remain firm in the days to come due to easing of supply pressure.
