Mumbai (Commoditiescontrol) – Domestic tur extended gains on Thursday at major markets on better millers trade activity as demand and sale counters in processed Tur were witnessed good from wholesale/retail counters amid less domestic arrivals.
Good buying was also reported in domestic markets due to availability of superior quality as farmers who need money for kharif sowing are active to liquidate their produce in the market.
Decline in kharif sowing area owing to the delay in monsoon also supported prices. As per reports, farmers will face huge losses due to second sowing if dry spell continues in Maharashtra and other Tur producing belts.
Similarly, Tur lemon variety of Burma origin also moved higher by Rs 50-75 each at Rs 5,425-5,450/100Kg and Rs 5,675, respectively in Mumbai and Delhi on improved buying activity and following firm trend in domestic markets.
Around 10473.92 MT imported Tur arrived from overseas in June month at JNPT port. Uganda:240, Mozambique:4250, Malawi:50, Burma:5283.92, Sudan: 650.
In Burma, around 50 containers of Tur Lemon Old (2017 & 2018) was traded at $670 per metric ton on FOB basis for India today. However, Tur Lemon (2019) and Linkhey priced higher as there were no sellers in the market.
Cargo of pulses for India expected to be load in vessel on 27th July, another vessels on 1st & 10th August. Tur cargo expected to be load for Mumbai.
