Mumbai (Commoditiescontrol) – Domestic tur continued to trade lower on Thursday at major markets amid sluggish millers trade activity as demand and sale counters in processed Tur remained lackluster from wholesale/retail counters.

Tur lemon variety of Burma origin widened losses by Rs 75 at Rs 5,275/100Kg in Mumbai amid dull trade activity, following weak cues from domestic markets. While, commodity priced unchanged at Rs 5,550/100kg in Delhi market on the absence of trade activity.

Tur Lemon old/new ruled weak at Burma due to dull buying from India.

Meanwhile, holding capacity of stock by private traders and millers has been decreasing day by day. Small millers/traders were active to liquidate their stock due to cash crunch, government policy and on some progress of monsoon.

Ready stock of Tur with government and private traders is sufficient to meet demand. Moreover, government had allocated quota to millers of 4 lakh tons to import till October and also government had MOU to import 1.75 Lakh tons from Mozambique.
