10 Jul 2017 7:00 am
Southeast US (Alabama and Georgia) highlights...
Scattered moderate to heavy showers and thunderstorms. Temperatures near to
above normal Friday-Saturday, variable Sunday.
Southeast US (Alabama and Georgia) Forecast
6-10 day outlook: Temperatures
Generally favorable conditions for developing soybeans in the southern and
eastern Midwest with adequate moisture and no significant hot weather expected
during the next 7 days. Dryness and some increases in temperatures over the
northwest increases the risk to this portion of the crop.
Dryness and periods of hot temperatures increases stress to developing
soybeans in the northern Plains.
Favorable weather for developing soybeans in the Delta states.
Showers through key growing areas of northeast China during last weekend
will favor development of recently planted soybeans but more rain is needed.
Hot, dry weather in the area through the mid-week period this week. Showers and
more seasonal temperatures at the end of the week and during the weekend.
Planting of India's soybean crop would normally begin later in June or
early in July as the Monsoon rainy season reaches into the area. The region has
recently had beneficial rainfall but is now drier and somewhat hotter again.
Mostly favorable conditions for planting.
