WORLD SOYBEAN PROSPECTS
Hot, dry weather in central Brazil depletes soil moisture slowing soybean
planting and increasing stress to any developing crop. Some replanting may be
necessary.
Disruptions and delays to the corn and soybean harvests in the Midwest due
to recent rain. However rainfall recharges soil moisture. Drier weather is
expected this week.
Favorable harvest weather in the northern Plains.
Favorable weather for maturing and harvesting soybeans in the Delta states.
Colder, dry weather will favor mature soybeans and the harvest in northeast
China at this time. Immature soybeans may be somewhat at risk due to recent
freezing conditions.
Favorable conditions for filling soybeans in Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra
India at this time. Prior rains will provide moisture for late filling soybeans
in northern areas while recent rains favor filling soybeans in the south.
