WORLD SOYBEAN PROSPECTS

Limited rainfall and above normal temperatures over central and southern
portions of the western Midwest will increase stress to corn and soybeans,
especially pollinating corn. Some crop losses can be expected. Northern Iowa
and southern Minnesota should experience beneficial rainfall and more moderate
temperatures. Mostly favorable weather for developing corn and soybeans in the
eastern Midwest.
Limited rainfall along with episodes of above to much above normal
temperatures stresses developing soybeans in the northern Plains. This
situation bears watching.
Favorable weather for developing soybeans in the Delta states.
A variable rainfall pattern in key growing areas of northeast China along
with periods of hot temperatures. This leads to variable conditions in key
soybean growing areas. Rainfall is most needed through western growing areas.
Moderate to heavy showers in India's soybean growing region during the past
week with more rain likely during the next week. This will maintain adequate to
surplus soil moisture for the crop with some flooding possible.
