Tocom Rubber Ends Lower on Stronger Yen, Weakness in Shanghai -- Market Talk

17 Apr 2017 7:23 am

0723 GMT [Dow Jones] Benchmark Tokyo rubber futures edged lower after early gains, hurt by a stronger yen against the U.S. dollar. "Investors resorted to selling with the decline of the dollar," said Kaname Gokon of Okato Shoji in Tokyo. Weakness in Shanghai rubber futures also contributed to the fall in Tokyo. The Tokyo Commodity Exchange rubber contract for September delivery ended Y2.0 lower at Y216.50 a kilogram. (vibhuti.agarwal@wsj.com)
