WORLD CORN PROSPECTS

Dry weather in the major corn and soybeans areas of central Argentina
continues to stress filling corn and soybeans with crop losses ongoing. Mostly
dry weather is expected in the major growing areas during the next 7 days along
with near to above normal temperatures through the weekend.
A major storm is expected to impact the Midwest early next week. Some
transportation issues in northwest areas due to snow. Some flooding issues over
southern and eastern areas due to moderate to heavy rain.
Somewhat drier weather in South Africa maize areas during this week,
although isolated thundershowers did occur Wednesday. This will favor filling
crops in the east after recent heavy rains. Reproductive crops in the west
should have adequate moisture for current needs and will benefit from seasonal
temperatures.
