Some Preparing for Post-FOMC Bargain-Hunting -- Market Talk

21 Mar 2018 7:41 am

0741 GMT - An upbeat economic outlook and a slight upward shift in Fed-funds projections by US central bankers won't necessarily change the dollar's outlook but could nudge the market to become buyers of 10-year Treasurys, says Societe Generale's Kit Juckes. He'd be looking to buy the euro around $1.2150 on any dollar strength and says investors in general would likely be looking to do the same regarding declines in emerging markets and risk assets like commodities and stocks. Alternatively, expect a "big, sustained reaction" if the Fed indicates changes in its interest-rate framework. (kenan.machado@wsj.com)
