YAOUNDE, Cameroon--PC Gabon Upstream S.A., the Gabonese unit of Malaysian oil and gas firm Petronas, will jointly evaluate marketable oil discoveries on the Boudji-1 offshore field located 160 kilometers south of the African nation's waters.

The estimation will be conducted with Gabon's ministry of petroleum and hydrocarbons, the ministry said this weekend.

PC Gabon Upstream operates block 14, also known as Likuale, with Australian oil and gas firm Woodside Petroleum, which owns a 30% stake of the project, based in the province of Mayumba.
