Brazil Cocoa Weather - Apr 17

17 Apr 2017 7:55 am
West Africa cocoa areas have seen some scattered thundershowers move across
during April but also some periods of hot, dry weather. Rainfall will be needed
to support flowering and early development of the main crop. Drier weather may
favor the maturing mid-crop and any harvesting.
Episodes of scattered showers will favor cocoa trees through the east Africa
region at this time.
Episodes of scattered showers in key growing areas of Indonesia and Malaysia
continue. Conditions mostly favor development of cocoa at this time.
Mostly favorable conditions for the remaining main crop harvest in Bahia
Brazil. The midcrop is maturing.
