WORLD CORN PROSPECTS

Disruptions to the corn and soybean harvests in the Midwest this week.
However rainfall recharges soil moisture.
Some harvest disruptions in the northern Plains. Any rainfall helps
recharge soil moisture.
Favorable soil moisture for upcoming corn and soybean planting in central
Argentina. Some early corn planting is underway.
Drier weather has recently improved conditions for the harvest of corn in
France. Prior rains in eastern Europe has likely slowed the harvest somewhat
but the region has again turned drier.
Mainly favorable conditions for mature corn and harvesting corn in south
and east Ukraine and south Russia at this time. Yield prospects are down due to
summer time heat and dryness. Recent rainfall may have slowed corn harvesting
to the west but the areas is now drier.
Mostly favorable conditions for mature corn and the harvest of corn through
northeast China.
Increasing shower activity and warm temperatures will help to improve
conditions for planting maize in South Africa at this time.
